The King of the Golden River, or The Black Brothers é um conto de fadas clássico escrito por John Ruskin em 1841. A história se passa no Treasure Valley, uma região fértil e próspera pertencente a três irmãos: Hans, Schwartz e o pequeno Gluck. Enquanto Hans e Schwartz são tiranos cruéis, gananciosos e egoístas que maltratam seu irmão mais novo e exploram sua terra, Gluck é bondoso e gentil.
